I tried a different way (different for me) to make BBQ ribs yesterday and they turned out fabulous; not only that, but it was real easy and not too messy.
Here's what you need:
1 big cookie sheet, covered in foil.
3 racks of ribs (I got em at COSTCO)
Onion Salt
Garlic Salt
Cayenne Pepper
KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauce
Here's what I did:
Rinse and dry the ribs, then sprinkle and rub in Onion Salt, Garlic Salt and Pepper, arrange ribs on the cookie sheet and bake @ 260 (I used a convection oven) for 3 hours. Then turn the heat up to 350 take the ribs out and smear BBQ sauce on one side, cook for 20 minutes, take ribs out turn and smear sauce on the other side of the ribs. Repeat until done; about another hour.
OMG!!!!! These were soooooo good; the sauce was caramelized and it was like a bark on the ribs, they were tender but not mushy.
I actually doubled the amount of everything so I'm still eating left over ribs today; and man oh man, they are really good re-heated!!!
Try it, you'll like it! (If you like BBQ Ribs)
And it's easy to clean up, just throw away the foil and there's just a little cleaning left to do on the cookie sheet.
